Hello beautiful people! So, I love making morning smoothies and I recently shared a recipe for my favorite Alkalizing Super Juice. Today, I wanted to share how I make almond milk from scratch. It is super easy, quick, and you don't have to worry about any questionable additives.
What you'll need:
- Almonds (1 cup)
- Water (3 1/2 cups)
- 1 Medjool Date (optional natural sweetener)
- Vanilla Bean or Extract (1/4 tsp - optional)
Here's what I did:
- Soak almonds overnight. Make sure you add enough water to cover the almonds
- Drain water from the almonds
- Add almonds + 3 1/2 cups of water + date to blender
- Blend for 1 minute
- Strain using a Nut Milk Bag
- Add vanilla to taste & whisk
- Refrigerate and consume within 3 days
