Hey loves! I apologize for my absence here on the blog. I have really missed sharing with you all. Hopefully, you are following me on Instagram @charliculture, where I do post often. I'm recently back from a trip to Chicago. Safe to say, I love it there! I wanted to share some travel tips that have been especially helpful.
1.) Get to the airport early
It is a good way to begin an adventure, by not missing it or nearly missing it. Save the adrenaline rush for something else.
2.) Have your boarding pass sent directly to your phone
I wonder if anyone still prints it? I don't know. Anywho, it is rather practical, saves time and paper.
3.) Pack lightly
Yes and this is from a reformed over packer! I now swear by this.
4.) Make a list of must do's
Jot it down on paper or in your phone. For me, it's usually the name of a restaurant or place that I don't want to forget.
5.) Don't over plan
There is something wonderful about exploring / discovering. Even if you get lost its all part of the adventure. Plus, it makes for great memories and funny stories later.
6.) Bring a journal & camera
Writing allows you to slow down to take time to reflect. It is just plain ol' good for the soul. Oh and you know the saying, take a picture, it'll last longer.
7.) Pack comfortable shoes
As a tourist you will be walking...alot! Comfortable shoes are a must.
This last one is just because I'm usually freezing at the airport, on the plane and in general life (LOL!) I carry my favorite tea in my purse. Helps me warm up or maybe I've just become a bit of a tea snob ;)
