Lately, I've been reminiscing about my previous trips to Jamaica. There is a warm, fuzzy feeling I get whenever I visit. I find myself chasing that feeling in every city and country that I visit. Hard to describe the island because it is a myriad of things. What makes Jamrock a true gem is that she is all these beautiful things without any pretentiousness.
1.) Natural Beauty
Jaw-dropping gorgeous beaches, lush gardens, cascading waterfalls and mountains that will take your breath away. There is beauty all over this island and each parish has its own unique identity.
2.) Adventure Rich
There are so many cool things to do. You could explore caves, go rafting and zip-lining. Even just renting a car and driving around the island will prove to be an adventure!
3.) Great Hospitality
Now if you know me, then you know I love a great hotel. The hospitality you receive at cottages, hotels, B&Bs is top notch in Jamaica. No exaggeration.
4.) Slower Pace of Life
Just what you need from a getaway : )
5.) Food
See what I did there? I saved the best for last! Food is more than food. Food is history. Food tells the story of its people. Jamaican people are full of personality and very creative. The food is delicious. The drinks are great. A simple lemonade or carrot juice is out of this world. It's probably because the fruits and veggies are organic and fresh.
At last I must confess that I wrote this whole thing because I really just want you to visit Jamaica so that you can get to taste a real Jamaican Patty. Hahah (*insert smile here)
